SOAR - Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration
SOAR Reservations Are Now CLOSED
If you have not already paid for SOAR, reservations are now closed. You will receive information shortly on how to access
your class schedule and get additional advising information.
What is SOAR?
Cal Poly is committed to your academic and personal success at the university.
Preparation is everything and we work hard to ready you for your first quarter.
For all transfer and freshman students, Cal Poly holds seminars
during July and August with information sessions about registration, transitioning to college
life and developing a first quarter schedule.
The Student Orientation, Advising & Registration (SOAR) program coordinates
these efforts with programs for you and your family. Your path to a successful Cal
Poly career begins before you get here.
Additional information about SOAR schedules, fees, and sign-up will be available
here.
When is SOAR?
SOAR for transfers will be a one-day event, and for freshmen and their
families will be a two-day (overnight) event.
SOAR overnight guests who are scheduled to stay in a university residence hall may check in at the Sierra Madre hall front desk anytime 10:30 a.m. on the scheduled day of arrival. SOAR overnight guests will need to check out of rooms by 8:30 a.m. on their scheduled day of departure.
