Is your club or organization interested in participating in Open House 2010? Please fill out the Application to Participate form below and we'll get back to you with more information. Please submit this form before our first mandatory club meeting on Thursday, February 4th at 11 a.m. in Chumash Auditorium!

Please provide an organizational payment check and deposit check at your one-on-one meeting (more information at future club meetings). A $100.00 deposit is mandatory and is preferred to be on a separate check.

Independent Student Organizations are under contract with the University through Student Life and Leadership.

The information provided in "general information" above should match the information on your charter. The signatures collected at your one-on-one must match signatures on your charter. At your One-On-One you will provide a five digit account number.

Please provide the following information of the person who handles the finances for the organization.

The Finance Manager should know the following account details: your 5 digit fund number, your 6 digit Dept. ID number, and your 6 digit account number.

A check request is mandatory. Please provide a copy of your check request at your One-On-One. At your One-On-One you must know your 5 digit Org. code and your 5 digit object code.

A corporation or foundation account is an auxiliary account for specific Cal Poly organizations. The corporation or foundation oversees commercial and special activities accounts. See your account director for more information.

Participation in Open House
There are a variety of ways to participate in Open House. Please check all the activities your organization is interested in participating in. This is only to receive more information on the event by email and is NOT final. You can change your intended participation in events at the 1st club meeting. There will be a detailed description and video of each event at the 1st meeting.

For clubs that want to have an informational or concession booth in the Campus Showcase on Saturday, April 17 (most clubs do this).


Non-booth related activity that requires using another facility or space on campus. Examples include Rodeo, Tractor Pull, and Design Village. The Open House Committee must approve a special event. Special events can be held from Thursday, April 15 through Sunday, April 18.


On Thursday, April 15, gives clubs the chance to promote their activities to the SLO community and Open House guests. No vending is allowed. Clubs must apply for space through Open House because there are only 25 spots available. Please check this box if you would like an email with more information on this brief application process.


On Saturday, April 17 at 9 a.m., an opportunity to show off your club spirit and compete for awards by designing a float, banner, or alternative entries. SLO community members, prospective students, and family members attend this event on campus totaling over 400 people.


Stage on Dexter Lawn where campus clubs and organizations can showcase the talents of their members and have the opportunity to perform. Examples include Country Line Dancing Club, Take It Slo A Cappella, and Hip Hop Congress. Main Stage will be Saturday, April 17 from 10:30am to 3:30pm.


Event designed for children. Clubs participating in Kids' Fair should select an activity or concession such as face painting, beanbag toss, or cotton candy. Example includes Mustang Band's musical petting zoo. The Kids' Fair will be Saturday, April 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Bioresource Engineering parking lot near Campus Market (right in the middle of Campus Showcase!). If your organization has a regular Booth Display (see above) then the additional booth at Kids' Fair is complementary.


Event on Friday, April 16 from 7:30-10:00 p.m. where prospective students can meet soon-to-be classmates while bowling, playing arcade games, listening to live bands, and playing poker. Clubs participating can offer a free service by leading activities to break the ice and also to promote their club before Campus Showcase day.
