What is the Block Party?
The WOW Block Party is a conglomeration of what was once 3 separate events. It brings together the UU Showcase, the Rec Center Showcase and the Club Carnival, blends in club performances, live music, food for the WOWies, and tons of fun. It is an outdoor activity that features: 2 stages of live performances, club booths, interactive activities and ends with a concert for the WOWies.

Why should my club be involved?
The WOW Block Party is one of the largest recruitment opportunities your club has all year long. Many of the thousands of WOWies attend and are eagerly seeking a way to get involved in the Cal Poly campus. Your club may be exactly what they are looking for!

What else should I know about Block Party?
The WOW Block Party is like one-stop-shopping for WOW groups, with Friday's dinner, UU resources, Rec Center features, Club booths and live entertainment all in one place. Lots of WOWies will be there, ready to check out your booth. Now that you have them there, how do you captivate them and keep their attention long enough to appeal to them as an organization they may like to join? Play games! Showcase club events!

This year, WOW is promoting a paperless Block Party in an attempt to "Go Green!" Therefore, we are NOT allowing clubs to pass out fliers during Block Party. As with the past Block Parties, we are NOT allowing any fundraising or sales. We highly encourage all clubs to feature interactive activities at their booths that the WOWies can take part in.
