What is SOAR?
Cal Poly is committed to your academic and personal success at
the university. Preparation is everything and we work hard
to prepare you for your first quarter.
For freshman and most transfer* students, your college holds
one-day seminars during July with information sessions about
registration, transitioning to college life and developing a
first quarter schedule.
The Student Orientation, Advising & Resources (SOAR) program
coordinates these efforts with programs for you and your family.
Your path to a successful Cal Poly career begins before you get
here.
