Parent Orientation Reservation:
Includes programming, a set of
materials and lunch for one parent. The Parent
Orientation is in English only. We recommend that
members of the same household purchase one parent
orientation reservation and any other additional lunch
tickets necessary.

SOAR Refund Policy
Your partial refund request for SOAR fees (student and
parent)
will need to be authorized by the program supervisor. Lunch
tickets are non-refundable. You
must request a cancellation 24 hours before the start of
your program session day. A refund request that is approved is subject to a cancellation fee
of $40 to cancel a student reservation and $20 to cancel a parent
reservation. Again, requests for refunds will not be considered
after your program session has begun. Request must be made in writing
(Preferred by e-mail to

; Subject line: Refund Request for SOAR - student's name).
We ask that your request include the following information:
- Purpose for request
- Student's full name
- Student's major
- Student's e-mail address
- Student's phone number
- What was originally ordered (student reservation, parent
reservation, additional lunch tickets)
Summer Institute Students:
You are encouraged to make your own choice regarding your attendance to SOAR.
In addition to the main advising session, there will be other activities that will provide
an opportunity for you to connect with other students, faculty and staff in your college.
However, if attending SOAR would be a hardship, feel free to contact your SAS (SI) academic
advisor by calling (805) 756-2301.
- If you choose to attend SOAR, follow the SOAR sign up steps and see you in July for SOAR and again in August for SI!
- If you are not able to attend SOAR, call the number above to get registration assistance over the phone and see you in August for SI!
- With both options above, while at Summer Institute, we will provide a registration follow-up session as part of the SI orientation to ensure that your fall quarter schedule is the best one possible for you!
Keep in mind that you will register for classes on-line via CP Reg
on your
designated registration date prior to arriving on campus for Summer Institute. It is expected that you will either participate in SOAR or a phone advising appointment with your SAS (SI) academic advisor prior to your course registration date. See you at SOAR and/or SI!
