Welcome to CultureFest WeekendWelcome Aboard

More than 20 Cal Poly cultural student organizations will show pride in their heritages at CultureFest on Sunday, October 18, 2009, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mitchell Park (at the corners of Osos, Pismo & Buchon Streets).

Sponsored by the MultiCultural Center and Student Life and Leadership, this festival is a free, family-friendly event filled with live performances by community and campus organizations, a diverse array of freshly cooked foods, and many other activities. The Resination will close the festival.

For 2009, CultureFest will close out the Cal Poly Homecoming weekend festivities. “We are honored that the Cal Poly Alumni Association is including us in the large scale events during this special time for the university. This is the first and hopefully not the last of our collaborations”, said Renoda Campbell, Coordinator of Multicultural Programs and Services. Celebrating its 12th year, CultureFest is a student run event that aims to spread cultural awareness and promote cultural appreciation. This year's theme is "Construction of Culture." CultureFest will take place rain or shine.
