December ceremonies last approximately 2 hours. Immediately following the
ceremony, a punch and cookie reception will be held in the
University Union in Chumash Auditorium which is located across the street from
Mott Gym. This reception offers graduates and guests the opportunity to visit
with faculty and friends.

Grad Days are scheduled for October 19-21 2010, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at El Corral Bookstore. Graduation
announcements, class rings and invitations can be ordered and senior portraits can be scheduled.
The Grad Center opens Thursday, November 18, 2010 in El Corral Bookstore. Candidates pay the commencement fee, obtain 8 guest tickets
and detailed instructions, and order and pay for caps and gowns. Check with Customer Service, El Corral Bookstore 756-5321 for the hours of the
Grad Center and questions regarding commencement tickets, fees, or academic reglia.
The Grad Center issues 8 guest tickets only to eligible candidates paying the commencement fee in person. Guest admission is by ticket only. Additional tickets
will NOT be available. Candidates not needing all of their tickets are encouraged to give extras to those who need more.
COMMENCEMENT PARTICIPATION ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to participate in commencement ceremonies, the student
must submit a "Request for Graduation Evaluation" form to the Office of
Academic Records-Evaluation (OAR-Evaluations). Students who indicate, on the
form, that they plan to complete all degree requirements in the fall quarter are eligible to
walk in the December commencement ceremonies.
NOTE: SUBMITTING THE "REQUEST FOR GRADUATION EVALUATION" MAKES THE STUDENT ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE
IN CEREMONIES ONLY. IT IS NOT A GUARANTEE THAT THE STUDENT WILL GRADUATE WITH A DEGREE FROM CAL POLY.
Degree attainment is pending review of the academic file after final grades for the last enrolled
quarter are released. Students with questions concerning their eligibility to participate in commencement
may contact the OAR-Evaluations, Administration Bldg., Room 218, 756-2396.
